If only…

Sometimes it’s just nice to get out and spend time together.  Yardhouse and Indiana Jones kept were on the menu tonight.

We’re here and there are finally photos on flickr.  Sorry it took me so long!  Eventually as we get more done there will be more photos.  I love this place so much.  I mean, besides that it’s my first home owning experience.  It’s really… just fantastic and cozy and happy and I love working on all the little things (except maybe the unpacking that still has to be done).  I’m going to try to update more, but I say that all the time.  Please be patient with me.

This writing all the time stuff is hard!

In other thoughts, spring break starts at 2:15 today (or later because of rehearsal… but.. today)! yay!

So.. tomorrow is the big day.  I’ve not really posted any pictures, but the house is done, the closing has happened, the keys are ours…. and tomorrow we start moving stuff and us into our new house.  Wow.  I almost feel like an adult.

Can you tell that school started and I have been busy?  The play is about to get under way, we’re moving in about 2 weeks and things are crazy and fun and full of life.  I’m going to do my best to drop in and finish up some drafts and keep you posted about life around these parts.  Until then, stay happy, love the moment.

Copying CDs onto the computer for later MP3 player access.  Finding motivation to organize and toss and purge and figure out what I’m going to need later.  Currently there’s more music than motivation, although I did manage to clear out some things from the pits of my desk and the bathroom medicine cabinet and one side of the storage underneath the sink.  The desk isn’t really that deep, but there’s actually usable space in the small drawer.  If you can call it a drawer that is.  Originally it was intended to hold a keyboard to give you an actual idea of the size.  The bathroom wasn’t really that big of a feat either.  A few tossed lotions or vitamins that had expired, some old eyeshadow and a tube of lipstick from who knows when.  Clearly I’m not a makeup kind of girl.  I’ve decided I need a space for what little makeup I do have, my hair ties galore and then a little space for a few pieces of jewelry.  Do you think the nicer the storage the more likely I’d be to wear them? Or does the nice storage just give them a good place to live since I hardly wear any of it?  Either way, back to the music.  So far: Jason Mraz, David Gray, Hear Music Volume 2- Music for long narrow stretches, and a few other miscellaneous songs that flood minds with memories and pretend to give motivation for a task few enjoy.  Organization.

It started early with lots of snow falling silently in the dark. There’s something really beautiful about snow falling in huge flakes, covering the earth and muffling all sounds. Then there’s taking twice as long to get to the airport first thing in the morning because you’re forging your own path down the highway which has not yet seen plow or salt and is beautifully and dangerously covered in 5-6 inches of snow where it’s only fallen and more where wind has played with snow moving it into drifts. All travel was completed safely and so many miles and several hours later it was 60 degrees and sunny with no trace of the snow that started my new year.

The semester is over. We’ve all survived, some a little bruised but no one broken. Now we get to go home and relax and come back in two weeks and do it all over again. Let’s just focus on that relax part.

There is nothing special about today (that I know of) except that it is the last full day of school for the semester. Two half days of finals and then BREAK! Yes!
